INFUSION SET (I.V. SET)

Preparation
- Inspect the packaging for any damage, missing parts, or expired products before use.
- Wash hands thoroughly before handling the infusion set.
- Hang the IV bag or bottle securely and spike it using the provided connector.

Usage Procedure
- Prime the drip chamber and tubing to remove all air bubbles before connecting to the patient.
- Adjust the roller clamp or flow regulator to achieve the prescribed drip rate.
- Connect the infusion set to the patient's vascular access device (IV cannula or port).
- Monitor the infusion site for signs of infiltration or phlebitis throughout administration.
- Observe the IV bag level and flow rate continuously to ensure proper fluid delivery.
- After infusion is complete, safely disconnect the set from the patient following facility protocol.
- This product is intended for single use only, do not reuse.
- Dispose of used infusion sets in a sealed, puncture-resistant sharps container and follow proper disposal regulations.
Warnings
- Do not use if the packaging is damaged, opened, or contaminated.
- Do not use if any component is cracked, leaking, or otherwise defective.
Precautions
- Use only for its intended purpose.
- Always prime the tubing to remove all air bubbles before connecting to the patient; residual air poses a risk of air embolism.
